One Street Away by Untempered Schism [Reviews - 85]
She opened her door and stepped out into the corridor just as he came round the corner. He stopped dead, staring at her in shock. She gaped at him just like she was seeing a ghost. No, exactly like she was seeing a ghost. Because the man standing not six feet away was her Doctor, raw boned, big ears, and gangly limbs. She was staring into his unconventionally handsome daft face and noted that his stormy blue eyes were wide with astonishment. This was the Doctor she’d fallen in love with, the lover she’d lost in the blazing fires of regeneration. She was looking into the eyes of a dead man.

One Summer's Day by OddmentsandTweaks [Reviews - 0]
All is not right in the village of Little Hodcombe. A weekend dedicated to the re-enactment of the English Civil War event that destroyed the village in 1643 is seemingly a little too real. The Doctor, Tegan and Turlough have arrived to visit Tegan's grandfather, local historian Andrew Verney, only to find that he is missing and they are caught up in the midst of something far more sinister than a heritage weekend. Will Chandler is out of time, metals have appeared that shouldn't exist on earth and a local legend that appears to be rather more fact than fiction... (A re-writing of the TV Story 'The Awakening')
This is a story looking more in-depth at the characters of Will Chandler (the story is mostly from his perspective) and Jane Hampden, both characters were pseudo-companions for the story and worked really well with the 5th Doctor-they had so much potential, especially Will so I felt they needed more love (there's no fanfic for either of them on any site!) so what's a fic-writer gonna do? (Write 30k+ words about them apparently...)

It helps if you've read the Torchwood Novel 'Almost Perfect.' Suffice to say that, due to an alien artifact, Ianto Jones spends the better part of the book as a woman. Eventually, he makes a deal with the aliens involved, and saves both Jack's life and Gwen's marriage in the process.
