The Tenth Doctor, realizing that his own incarnation is endangered and also aware that in his own time he is dying anyway, breaks the rules by going back in his own timeline to restore his original history. It is the Tenth Doctor who narrates this tale. Whump! Although correcting the changed history does not alter the fact that both the Tenth and Fifth Doctors die on the day(s) this story takes place, as they did in the original history, neither death is portrayed here. The Fifth Doctor's potential (different) death, in the new history, is referred to but not portrayed directly.
