It seems pointless to write a real bio, because I\'m a recent graduate from college with a BA in English and I have no idea where I\'ll be or what I\'ll do a few months from now, so I\'ll stick with some permanent facts: My favorite color is blue, my eyes are grey, I have wide hips, I love books, I only \'ship canon, I like classic rock, folk rock, and classical music with a little bit of Broadway, I love costume design and period clothing, I like cats, I will never have enough shelf space, I collect picture books, I love fairy tales and folklore, I like research, and I have a big family. I also knit, and sometimes mess around with paint.

My fandoms are varied and numerous, and I tend to fluctuate between them, focusing obsessively on one fandom (and one \'ship, if I\'m \'shipping) at a time . Lots of things catch my interest, but I am most shamelessly devoted to: The Lord of the Rings (book, Faramir/Eowyn is my OTP); Rurouni Kenshin (manga over anime, Kenshin/Kaoru), Witch Hunter Robin, Batman (particulary TAS, moonlighting occasionally into Batman Beyond and Teen Titans), Labyrinth (Jareth/grown-up Sarah), Supernatural, Firefly (Wash/Zoe ftw!), and most recently Doctor Who (4, 9 and 10 only so far, I\'m afraid, but I\'m working hard to get caught up!).

Some of my favorite authors are Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Ray Bradbury, Robin McKinley, Neil Gaiman, Susanna Clarke, Diana Wynne Jones, Lloyd Alexander, Susan Cooper, John Crowley, Patricia McKillip, Anne Lamott, Jane Austen, Peter S. Beagle, L. Frank Baum, and Lewis Carroll. My favorite poets are John Donne, T.S. Eliot, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Gerard Manley Hopkins, Rainer Maria Rilke, Donald Hall, and Mary Oliver.

Some of my favorite movies are Hero, Pan\'s Labyrinth, The Princess Bride, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Howl\'s Moving Castle, The Philadelphia Story, The Last Unicorn, Amelie, Wit, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Mirrormask, Much Ado About Nothing, Sense and Sensibility, the BBC Pride and Prejudice miniseries, Stardust, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Becket, Brick, and Labyrinth.

Special areas of interest for me are folklore and fairy tales, especially the different incarnations of \'classic\' fairy tales, King Arthur, storytelling and oral history, costume design and period clothing, urban fantasy, traditional illustration, comic books, strong female characters, and young adult literature.

Doctor Who and its accoutrements are the property of the BBC, and we obviously don't have any right to them. Any and all crossover characters belong to their respective creators. Alas no one makes any money from this site, and it's all done out of love for a cheap-looking sci-fi show. All fics are property of their individual authors. Archival at this site should not be taken to constitute automatic archive rights elsewhere, and authors should be contacted individually to arrange further archiving. Despite occasional claims otherwise, The Blessed St Lalla Ward is not officially recognised by the Catholic Church. Yet.
