Summary: Saying ‘no’ to the Doctor almost never works.

Next time the Doctor shows up unexpectedly, Clara decides, she’s not going with him, no matter how much he pleads and cajoles. It was fun while it lasted, but she’s got a job, and a boyfriend, and a life. Her existence doesn’t revolve around a time-travelling alien in a blue box.

It’s the early hours of the morning when he turns up again.

“But you’ve got to come! You don’t want to miss this; it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity!”

So here Clara is, on another alien world. Despite her best intentions, the Doctor always wins in the end.
