Spoilers: The Christmas Invasion.

Summary: If the Sycorax intend to take earth, they’ll have to get past the Doctor.

Whatever the situation, the Doctor always preferred to find a peaceful solution. Sometimes, however, that wasn’t possible. Daleks didn’t understand peace, or tolerance, and neither did Cybermen. Sad to say, they weren’t the only hostile races in the universe.

The Sycorax probably had their good points, but right at that moment the Doctor couldn’t think what they might be. All he knew was that one way or another, they intended to take earth. He couldn’t have that. The planet was under his protection; if that meant he had to fight for it, he would.

Arming himself, he challenged their leader.
