Summary: Martha and the Doctor encounter a very dangerous alien.
Martha nervously peered past the Doctor at the creature rummaging about in what looked like a rubbish tip. “What’s that?”
“Hoix,” the Doctor replied, keeping his voice low, not wanting to attract the being’s attention. “It’s a long way from home. They’re sentient, but rather single-minded. Most of the time all they think about is eating, and they’ll eat anything.”
“Including us?”
“Oh yes, and most of our clothing too. They’re the universe’s most perfect omnivore. They can digest literally anything organic, and they’re always hungry.”
“Shouldn’t we do something before it eats someone?”
