Author's Notes:
Written for Challenge 637: Behemoth at dw100.

Summary: The Doctor makes a new, and rather unusual, friend.

The creature was immense, rising from the sea to tower over the Doctor. It had three long necks, two ending in beaked heads like a snapping turtle’s and the third topped by a steadily pulsing silvery blue orb. Below that, encircling the neck, a fringe of tentacles waved about as if sampling the air.

The behemoth peered down at him from small, reddish eyes.

“Hello. I’m the Doctor.”

“Hello. I am…” It made a deep, roaring sound, nothing the Doctor could reproduce.

“A pleasure to meet you. Would you mind if I called you Norman?”

“Norman would be quite acceptable.”
