Summary: When the Doctor needs transport, he borrows it. Sort of.

The Doctor flashed his psychic paper at the young man.

“What’s your name?”

“David Desmond.”

“Right, David, we need to borrow your vehicle. It’s a matter of life or death.”

“Okay, sure, Detective Inspector.” David held out the keys. “I’ll get it back though, right? I mean it’s my first car, I’ve only had it a week.”

“Yes, of course. Well, probably, and hopefully in one piece. Mostly. Look, why don’t you take this in exchange?” Digging in his pocket, the Doctor handed over a gold medallion.

David never got his car back. He bought himself a new Mercedes instead.
