Author's Notes:
Written for Challenge 597: Wink at dw100.

Summary: Jack's starting to feel like he's not allowed to do anything.

“Don’t do that!” the Doctor snapped.

“Do what?” Jack’s expression of injured innocence wouldn’t fool anyone who’d spent more than five minutes in his company. It certainly didn’t fool the Doctor.

“Don’t give me that; you know what I’m talking about! You winked at them. I saw you!”

“First you won’t let me say hello to people, and now I’m not allowed to wink?” Jack pouted.

“Not the way you do it.”

“I supposed I’m not permitted to smile either.”

“Now you mention it…”

Jack’s shoulders slumped. “Fine, but don’t be surprised if I wither away from lack of attention.”
