Summary: The Doctor cracks the mystery of the mummy.
The mummy stalking the train has struck fear into the hearts of everyone aboard, and for good reason. There’s nowhere anyone can hide from it, and if it gets you, if you see it, then you die. Fear is a natural response to such a threat.
But the mummy is to be pitied. So old, so tired, but it can’t rest; its mission isn’t over yet.
The Doctor can’t help but feel for a soldier from a forgotten war, compelled to keep fighting until the battle is won.
“We surrender.” Two words, to release a trapped soul and grant rest.
