1. Chapter 1 [Reviews - 23] (1860 words)
The idea for this was inspired by the other brilliant stories I've read based on the concept that when the Doctor was regenerating during "The End of Time," his essence was preserved and reborn into TenToo. In my mind, that idea has now become canon.

2. Chapter 2 [Reviews - 6] (3071 words)
Familiar dialog accompanied by some rather interesting introspection. If we could have heard 10.5's thoughts during "Journey's End," I've convinced myself it would have gone something like this...
11. Chapter 11 [Reviews - 7] (1778 words)
Yet another twist to the story. Itâs always made sense to me to think of 10.5âs physiology in this way. Even though heâs part human, he is still, after all, part Time Lord.
20. Chapter 20 [Reviews - 4] (2616 words)
There is a snippet of a translation included here of the ending of Murray Goldâs âVale Decem,â or âFarewell Ten,â the song of the universe that accompanied Tenâs final moments. I think the ending lyrics, âNever Aloneâ, fit perfectly with this, as do the words from the end of âForest of the Dead.â
Iâm sure everyone knew where this was leading – itâs predictable, I know. And the idea is certainly not unique to fanfics. But Iâm of the opinion that when two people are The Stuff of Legend, they should have more than just one brief lifetime together. ;) And considering the Doctorâs extended lifespan in this story, it just wouldnât do for him to have to live on alone.
21. Chapter 21 [Reviews - 3] (3265 words)
All I have to say about this chapter is FINALLY! For those who might not care to read graphic love scenes, Iâve tried to refrain from being too explicit. But I realize this pushes it right to the edge.
This chapter might seem to bring the story to its natural conclusion, but Iâm not quite done yet. There is still one more twist yet to come! ;)
22. Chapter 22 [Reviews - 6] (2284 words)
Iâve had this little plot twist in mind from the beginning in order to bring this story full-circle near to where it all began.
Here is my explanation for the Cloister Bell sounding in the TARDIS at the end of âWaters of Mars.â ;)
23. Chapter 23 [Reviews - 5] (2546 words)
A rather heavy, angst-filled chapter. But as youâll see in the one that follows, this is leading up to a much happier ending that helps explain, at least in my mind, the Doctorâs mercurial shift in mood from how he was at the end of âWaters of Marsâ to his much more jovial demeanor when he stepped out of the TARDIS at the start of âThe End of Time.â
24. Chapter 24 [Reviews - 23] (2611 words)
And so we reach the final chapter. Thank you so, so much to everyone who has read and reviewed this story! I canât even begin to say how much that means to me!!! I hope you've enjoyed reading this as much as I've enjoyed writing it. For me, thinking of the story happening in this way makes "The End of Time" just a little easier to bear.
The ending lines are cliché and have probably been used a thousand times before. But really, is there any other way to end it for these two? ;)
