He watches as she runs toward them, watches as she confronts him...the other him...the Time Lord him, and as he walks towards all of them, he knows just what she needs to know. How could he not...they are parts of a whole, he thinks to himself...three parts - but only two can be together for the rest of their lives. And he wants - no, needs - so badly to spend the rest of this life, his one life, with her, his Rose.
He watches as the question is asked of the other him....and knows when she turns to him and asks him the same question, just what his answer will be.
He grips her arm ever-so-gently, leans forward, putting his mouth to her ear, drinking in the Rose-ness of her scent and whispers, 'Rose Tyler, I love you'
Suddenly she grabs his suit-jacket lapels and he feels her soft lips against his.
Home, he thinks, I'm finally home, pulling her closer and closer until Rose breaks the kiss as she hears a wooden door close.
And hand in hand they both watch as the Tardis fades from view, two hearts outside breaking just a little, as two hearts inside fracture once more.
