The Torchwood Drabble Files by badly_knitted

Summary: A collection of drabbles, mostly based on the weekly prompts at tw100. Mostly Jack/Ianto as that's what I write, but no doubt other Torchwood characters will pop in from time to time. All genres are possible, but expect mainly humour and fluff, because that's usually what comes out when I write. All are 100 words exactly in Word, but apparently not here!

Chapter 410: First Day
Author's Notes: Yep, I wrote another one for Challenge 316 – Reverse Fandom – How I Met Your Mother at tw100. I'll probably keep going until a new challenge shows up, there's so many good prompts to try in this one.

Spoilers: Slight for Fragments. Set pre-series.

Summary: Ianto meets the rest of the team for the first time.

“Report for work first thing tomorrow,” he’d been told.

Ianto straightened his tie, stepping into the Tourist Office. Harkness was waiting for him.

“This way, Jones.”

Along a corridor, down in a lift, through a cog-shaped door and he was in.

“Okay everybody, meet Ianto Jones; he’s here to keep us organised. Jones, meet the team. Our medic, Owen Harper.” A weasel-faced man nodded at him. “Tech genius Toshiko Sato.” A pretty Asian woman smiled shyly. “Last but not least, my second-in-command Suzie Costello.”

Hard, suspicious eyes. She might be a problem. Only time would tell.

Ianto smiled politely.

The End
