Chapter 1: PredilectionAuthor's Notes: It's a bit... wrong.
Rose had a plan.
She'd read one time in one of her mum's magazines that everyone had some sort of weird sexual fetish. Using this knowledge and her powers of reasoning, she had determined that she could probably persuade the Doctor to jump her if she could work out what his was. Rose had heard somewhere that he was asexual, and frankly if he was then she was out of here. She could get Mickey back no bother and Mickey wasn't strange.
She'd already failed with a variety of attempts. The heels had esacaped his noticed and almost toppled her off a hillside, and the fur had just got her some pointed comments about vegetarianism. Bondage was pretty much a standard part of the job anyway, he wasn't ticklish, and she'd been in danger of suffocating on her own breasts before he'd even noticed enough to suggest that she might get a bit of a chill in that outfit.
So now she was dressed as a schoolgirl. She felt a bit daft, but she was getting desperate. Desperate enough not to be too creeped out by the fact that she'd only just finished being a proper schoolgirl anyway.
She found him in the console room, where he appeared to live. What was with that anyway?
"Hello, Rose, I was just... Oh. My. God."
Rose blushed. Rosily.
He blinked at her. "Where did that come from?"
She shrugged like someone who hadn't spent three hours looking for the outfit. "I found it in the wardrobe."
"No, I mean..." He looked like a rabbit that had just worked out what those two bright lights were and why they were getting closer. "Well, this is new."
In her head, Rose did the dance of joy. And also the dance of sad, because she'd fancied the old one a bit more and wished she'd thought of this earlier. And maybe the last one wouldn't have liked something so... disturbing.
He stared at her, which was good. It wasn't quite the sort of stare she'd expected, but it would do.
"What's that about?" he asked. "Is it the youth thing? The innocence? I hope it's not a power thing."
Rose tried to arrange herself a bit more invitingly. "Do you like it?"
"No. Yes. No. Yes. No. Can we not have this conversation? Why don't you put on a nice... burqa or something?"
"Stop that! Oh, bollocks. I think it's a power thing." He sighed. "Wouldn't it just be? Look, I think you should take that off."
She perked up a bit at that. Result!
"I mean, take it off somewhere else like perhaps your room and then put on something else that isn't that. And I'll stay here while you do that and think about something interesting like statistics for St Mirren football team in home and away matches. Possibly I'll make some graphs, and then we can look at them together. Won't that be nice?"
Rose considered this. "Panders to your dark side a bit, doesn't it?"
"Right. Should have thought of that."
"Right. Does that rule out military gear as well?"
He thought for a moment. "I think so. You probably want to avoid the suggestion of a heirarchy. Unless you were at the top of that heirarchy, but you'd have to dress as President Flavia and then I'd probably just cry."
Rose nodded and headed off to find something less upsetting to wear.
"And nothing with tentacles either," he called after her.
And so Rose decided that hand-holding was about as far as she wanted to go with this man.
