Staring out through the window into the darkness, she watched the pinpoint stars glistening in the cold emptiness beyond the fuselage.  Her glittery eyes tried, but failed, to pierce the veil of reality to see… home.  Home… where her true place, unambiguous and unquestionable, lay waiting for her return:  Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Betrothed, Defender of family and realm.

But now like Colossus, she stood with feet in two worlds awaiting the quaking to come.

A disturbance raced across her vision, rippling through winking stars like concentric waves in a cosmic pond.  The Power emanating from the Joining of the Wolf and the Storm rolled through her; left her breathless, in awe, joyful, in despair.  Tears overflowed, blurring the stars into unreachable quasars.

She was Home.
