Aftershock 20 - (No Title Yet) by AishaLeHerisson
Chapter 1: Prelude
Author's Notes: The prelude. Because it's a short chapter for me. ^^;

When the alarm went off it caught them both unawares, both in the middle of… something.

“Typical, just when it was getting good…” Aisha muttered as she came in, still doing up the fly on her trousers. She grabbed her long coat from the nearby chair, putting it on with a flourish and pressing a button to bring up the nature of the problem.

“Ahh… ow…” Adric muttered as he walked in, massaging a lump in his pants. “Fate is a bitch…. God that hurts…”

“Don’t keep doing that,” Aisha said, shaking her head. “You’ll make it worse…”

“You’ve never had these parts, and I’ll do what I wish with mine thanks…” Adric said, as he stumbled over to the other side of the console.

He leant on the console as he continued to try and get his parts to behave, so when he felt the arm round his shoulder he jumped. He looked up into Aisha’s green-blue eyes and smirk, then he felt her other hand go past the waistband and something cold hit his cock. As he flinched he realised the cold had quickly disappeared and that he was no longer stiff and hurting down there, he looked puzzled at her.

“It’s a sort of anti-Viagra that gets absorbed by the skin,” she explained. “Now, to real business my friend!” She grinned widely and then pressed another button behind him, bringing up a co-ordinate display on the screen that flickered on and off.

“You really need to get this thing in for a check-up Aish,” Adric said, then caught her expression, which was shock. “What? What’s the matter?”

“Those co-ordinates… we’ve been here before!” Aisha said. “The slave ship… Mastro!”

“Mastro?” Adric cried, his voice going up an octave. “Wasn’t that the place…?”

“…You met Nydor’s friends, who’d been kidnapped.”

At this voice both of them looked up at the corridor door, standing there was a familiar blue and white wolven girl. But now she was wearing a leather sleeveless jacket and combat trousers.

“It’s… you!” Adric said. “Wait, how did you…?”

“Don’t ask,” she said. “All I know is that we’re back here because of me… or rather a younger version of me.”

“Wait!” Adric said, pointing at the wolven girl. “I met you during that time when those soldiers attacked our TARDIS! You were… a slave.”

“And you met my ‘handler’,” the girl growled, and spat.

“Oi!” Aisha said. “Would you mind not doing that in my TARDIS?”

“Sorry, it’s just…” the girl closed her eyes and snarled, twitching. “I spent so much of my childhood in the hands of ignorant slave handlers and ‘masters’… I‘m still damaged in here. And now it‘s up to us to save me without getting spotted by your past selves.”

“Our past selves?” Adric cried. “We’re…”

“Yup,” Aisha said, checking the screen on the TARDIS console. “We’ve materialised on the Mastro about an hour before we first came here. We’re in trouble though.”

“Why?” the wolven asked.

“We’ve materialised right in the middle of the crew quarters!”

Suddenly there was a bang from the doors, Aisha quickly messed with buttons and with a whoosh the TARDIS de-materialised. As they did both Aisha and Adric let out a relief-filled sigh.

“If we were supposed to go there again, you’d think the TARDIS would have materialised us somewhere less conspicuous,” Adric finally said.

“We have to go back,” the wolven girl said.

“I’m doing so, just getting us somewhere where we won’t get noticed,” Aisha said, slowly twisting a dial back and forth. “We need a plan.”

“I have one,” the girl said. “Your machine’s wardrobe has what you and I need.”

“Disguises?” Adric asked.

“Disguises,” she nodded. “We shall need to pretend to be slave dealers,” She growled again, showing her fangs, but resisted the urge to spit on the floor again.

“Right, I’ve parked us in the void. We’re on the edge of materialising in the shadows of the disused room we hid in while freeing Valki,” Aisha said, looking at Adric and nodding. “Come on, we need to find some suitable clothes.”

The three of them walked down the corridors, then Aisha stopped, to allow their new guest to catch up with them.

“You never told us your name,” she said.

“I am Eyra,” the wolven girl said. “And I wish only to maintain things as they should be. This is part of my destiny. Let’s hurry.”

Aisha nodded and they raced down the corridor towards the TARDIS’ walk-in wardrobe.
