1: Chapter 1

Brilliant! When the Doctor demonstrated what he could do, I had a real sense of what Rose felt...

Very well done!

Gorgeous - I mean, really, just lovely. You've managed to capture the cadence of their relationship in this piece. I loved this line:

"You'd've -" looked like this, like someone'd hollowed your insides out, and it'd've been my fault "-thought I was daft, now wouldn't you?"

I can *see* Rose saying/thinking this. Beautiful!

This is great; it really shows a bit about what Rose thinks about the Doctor. Faved, just like your Hitchhiker Who-fic.

This is really lovely. I wish the show left more room for character introspection like this, so this is exactly the sort of thing I read fic for. Thanks!

1: Chapter 1

I already liked this story by the end of i; I truly loved it by the end of iv - I know someone else has already pointed this out, but it's too beautiful not to mention again - "And then he says something else: it's like maths, it's like equations, perfectly balanced, ridiculously complex; it's like puzzle pieces, snapping together, effortlessly building a world; it is like nothing she's ever heard, and it is in no way like words. " What's more you gave me a wonderful Rose, just by writing her response to the language in the way you did - she's not afraid of anything beautiful, is she? (Or at least not *too* afraid...) And by the end of v, you managed to impress me anew because this is such an adult reading of a character, but without any condescension, and a lot of love. A truly wonderful find!

Author's Response: Oh, thanks so much! yay, I\'m glad to hear you liked it, and that this Rose worked for you. :) thanks!

Had to go hunting more of your fic after reading the Christmas one and this didn't disappoint. I especially loved the TARDIS getting one in on Rose. Well done.

Author's Response: Hey, thanks! I\'m glad you liked it!

That was truly lovely. You have really tapped into the depths of Rose and The Doctor. Maths as a language! Perfect.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! That was my first try at writing them and I\'m glad it worked for you :)

Wow.

Wow.

Wow. That was incredible, it really blew me away. In fact it's taken me a moment to get over it so I can actually write you a decent review instead of leaving an annoying and frankly useless list of 'wow's'. So... How powerful was the use of the present tense in that piece of writing?! You really approached this in a fantastically unique style but with clear defined writing. The text wasn't too dense but didn't lack description, characterisation or anything really, yet really captured a good sense of scene and the Doctor and Rose.
I liked the little factual context added in here and there too regarding the TARDIS and the hoodie :)

"And then he says something else: it's like maths, it's like equations, perfectly balanced, ridiculously complex; it's like puzzle pieces, snapping together, effortlessly building a world; it is like nothing she's ever heard, and it is in no way like words."

I challenge anyone (anyone!) to describe that language any better! Dude, tres cool. You really summed up the essence of how I would imagine the Gallifreyans to speak - beautiful but at the same time capturing the interlect of the TimeLords.
Does the Doctor ever speak Gallifreyan in any of his incarnations? (Am part of the the new generation of Who Fans so sorry for my ignorance :) )
Well, got a bit excited there and wrote more than I was planning too. So, yeah, fantastic, loved it and have added to my faves. I hope you'll be writing more in the future - if you ever want a beta give me a shout!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! This was my first attempt at a Whofic so it\'s really nice to hear you liked it. :) From my knowledge (but I don\'t pretend to be an expert on Who canon, that\'s for sure), Gallifreyan\'s never been heard on screen. I did a lot of looking at the written bits we\'ve seen before I wrote that section. Thanks again!

Nicely done. I love the ninth Doctor and Rose.

Author's Response: Thank you, I\'m glad you liked it!

The title's a bit cumbersome but the insights and tidbits you write about are priceless and perfect. Really very, very wonderful. Especially number one. Don't suppose you have more to share?

Author's Response: It is cumbersome, isn\'t it, I really debated over whether going that route with the title or not. I decided in the end that it needed all that to hold the story together. But I\'m awfully glad you liked the story, thank you!
