Really enjoying this so far!

I like the fact that you address complicated issues, like The Doctor existing in 2 universes, not avoiding the difficulties of the issue. I like your writing. I like your characters. I like the emotions they deal with.

Lovely.

Ok, you are officially my favorite author. Seems every story I've read thus far of yours is fantastic. Love this one as well. Please update soon. This last chapter left me in tears. I wanted to wrap my arms around both of them and tell them it's going to be ok. Cannot wait for more!!

Aw, that is soapy, but it's so sweet. It gets me in my shipper gland. And about the accents, I think it depends on how you hear their voices in your head. If it works for you, it will work for most readers. I almost never do it: I'm not familiar enough with the accents to do them convincingly. If I had to do it all over again I'd be born in England so I could write better fanfic.

Oh poor Rose. You could really feel just how confused she was.

*hugs Rose and the Doctor and Jack just for good measure*

Just to put the other side... I have no problem with accurate replication of accents in fic. If it's good enough for Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind, I can cope! I hear their voices in my head when I'm reading anyway so it works. What I DO hate is when someone makes 9 sound like a city gent, leaving out his tendency to contract and abbreviate because then I hear a politician, not the Doctor. So you carry right on.

Loved this and SO glad Rose finally got that this Doctor might be different, doesn't mean he doesn't care. To me he's coming across as more subtle than the 9 we know, appearing largely healed when he's not. Probably appearing to her much like he appeared to those who didn't know him as well as Rose in our universe. Now she gets to see what it was like for those outside their very closed group. Please carry on. I love this.

Just like to say that this is one of my favorite fics. I only read and write Nine and the pickens have been slim lately. :( You are doing an awesome job with Nine and Rose. Thanks for updating my guilty pleasures!

10: Chapter Nine

I'm really enjoying this story, which is amazing, since I've gotten really quite burned out on post-"Doomsday" "Rose finds Alt!Doctor and runs off with him" yarns of varying quality. Um, don't take that personally. Like I said, I'm really enjoying this one, and I feel like your Rose is really the Rose we saw on the series--strong, but vulnerable, and more guarded in her emotions now.

May I offer one bit of constructive criticism? Don't try to replicate the Doctor and Rose's accents in your typing. A little goes a long way, and the more you do it, the more distracting it gets. We know what they sound like; just write them good dialogue, and no one will notice the consonents.

Look forward to the next chapter!

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I\'m glad to hear that I\'m keeping her close to what she was on the show. :) Re: Dialogue - I\'ll keep that in mind. In looking back, I definitely went overboard in this latest chapter. *wince*[
