Wow! The companion who couldn't, could! This is totally amazing, and the thing is? I can see this happening, sort of. Because just leaving Adam on Earth has to have consequences. And I think there was definitely room to grow there. And you know what? I don't think he would have given out information on Rose very willingly, either. Not even the Doctor, really, because in the end I think Adam ended up being a little embarrassed at his own greed, but not enough so to completely protect the Doctor. You actually kept him in character, and yet let him grow, amazingly! Thanks so much for sharing this!
Now that is what I call a good character piece and a look at consequences of actions.
Author's Response: Thanks! That\'s a real compliment!
I loved the development of Adam. I always felt a little bad for him...He just didn't know any better. Lovely story, well written.
Author's Response: Thanks. I figured Adam was someone who could develop into a decent guy.
Wow Adam grows up, a nice change from the usual and rare Adam story.
Author's Response: Thanks. He didn\'t strike me as complete bastard, more someone who hadn\'t really bothered about what he was mixed up in.
You actually feel sorry for the little slug.
Author's Response: Ah, my evil scheme to make people like Adam is working! This is the part where I reel you in.
Did Torchwood know about Bad Wolf or just the werewolf?
Author's Response: They KNOW about the werewolf. Being a secret agency who tracks things, they\'ve noticed something unusual about the words Bad Wolf, but they haven\'t spotted what it was.
I always like stories of life after the Doctor but you never see any of Adam. This is a nice change.
Author's Response: I kind of wondered what he\'d gotten up to. I had a hard time picturing that \'quiet life\' business keeping him out of trouble.
I like it so far, off to read more.
Author's Response: Thank you.
This is utterly haunting and too, too realistic. And I really like Adam in it. Thank you.
Author's Response: Thank you for the lovely review.
Wow! What a well-written story! I'm completely hooked! Much as I thought I'd never say it - go Adam!
Author's Response: Thank you. Glad so many people liked it. I wasn\'t expecting an entire story about Adam to get such a positive reaction.
Oh, this was just brilliant. I love how you redeem Adam here; it would be so easy to turn him into a villain or to make him vindictive or bitter, but you didn't. You kept his intelligence and genius and his good faith, and I really do love this story for it. Thanks.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I\'m glad it came across so well.
Poor Adam! He's more than done his penance now. And boo-hiss Torchwood! I liked this a lot; thanks for posting it.
Author's Response: I\'m glad you like it.
Excellent character study and a very absorbing read.
Author's Response: Thank you very much.
Adam gains the moral high ground, learns to forgive, gets wise instead of just smart . . . seriously, I don't believe this. You just made me like the little bastard. Brilliant.
Author's Response: Thanks. To tell the truth, that wasn\'t my original plan for the fic, but about halfway through he snuck off and became a better person on me.
“Betelgeuse Five. He fled the collapsing Hrung.”
I don't believe this story. You're making me like Adam.
Author's Response: I always thought he\'d be into sci-fi.
