When in doubt, go with the man who never hesitates. Rose doesn't know it, but the other Doctor is the one who would say, "Does it need saying?" All Rose would have to tell Jon is that she loves him and he would say it back.
Rose can't choose the Prime Doctor now. The fact she so easily fell into a sexual relationship with Jon both as a human and a Time Lord would hang over everything.
Besides, my Nine-loving heart wants her to choose him and this story is for the Nine fans! :D

Oh, I have a feeling you're going to break my heart by the end of this one. I love this do much - Rose and Jon/this version of Nine. But I love Rose and her first Doctor too... great chapter but I worry.

So, did Rose have an intimate relationship with the other Doctor in your universe?
I love how it's virtually canon that the Ninth Doctor, given the chance to meet his successor, would think he had regenerated into a babbling twit. I LOVE how he reacted to knowing what his next body would look like.
He's probably a lot more similar to Rose's first Doctor than she realizes, minus their shared history. I always loved how Nine always wanted to keep Rose at his side. I always felt he would have found a way to come for Rose, too- that he would have been like Rose and refused to allow them to be separated.
How are the disappearing stars and all going to figure in with this Doctor? What will his TARDIS be like? Is it a blue police box, or a red telephone box? Or maybe it's a tool shed? Stay tuned.
Author's Response: No, in this fic Rose and the doctor from Prime never had an intimate relationship.
Nine is pure sass and I can visualize the looks and snarky comments he would have given Ten and even Eleven. Something akin to the War Doctor in the 50th anniversary special. I'm pretty sure they would have come to blows.
Rose's dynamic with Nine was different. They practically dripped sexual tension. With every look he gave her one could see the depth of his feelings for her. Heck, even the Daleks could see it.
Alt Nine and Rose are on a collision course with Ten and Prime.
Oh and Beth, I'm kind of partial to big stately trees ;) That's all I'm saying for now.

Author's Response: I think Ten chose the best possible option available as well. I think he was always insecure about Rose's feelings though especially after her 'changing back' comment and that *may* have had something to do with him not telling her about his alternate in Pete's World.

Okay... So Rose is probably going to be concerned that she's messed up her past and the Doctor's future since "her" Doctor didn't tell her there was an alternate him.. And then she's gonna be angry. Or maybe she'll understand why he didn't tell her?

Absolutely great. My heart breaks at how Ten tried to minimize alt Nine's pain. He had no way of knowing then how it would play out, but I like to think now it gives him hope (for Rose). Great update!
