10: A Proper Doctor

This was great! Glad you've updated the story. The part about "folk medicine" was a nice touch.

Author's Response: I\'m happy you liked it! This actually took quite a while to research - learned a lot about what kind of medicine and medical theory was available back then.

1: Sketches on a Summer Day

I really enjoyed these stories. Will there be any more for this series, the missing scenes before Human Nature/Family of Blood?

Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m glad you enjoyed them! I plan to continue writing more stories about this as the inspiration hits. HN/FoB is my absolute favorite DW episode, and John Smith\'s life is fascinating to me. I will be expanding more on the schoolboys (especially Latimer), but I expect the majority of the stories will be centered around John and Martha.

4: A Splendid Prospect

I love this story! So well written, and nice to have an in-canon series of missing scenes. Not done reading all the way but so far its great. Thanks!

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I\'m glad you\'re enjoying it! This is one of my absolute favorite episodes, and I love going back and visiting all the characters like this.

4: A Splendid Prospect

I'm really enjoying what you're doing with this story. This was a great episode for expanding on, and I think you're doing a great job of it. The characters feel true, and these are great little snippets of all that time before the action started. Well done!

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I love working with John and Martha, but I\'m hoping to expand a bit more. Trying to gather the courage to start writing about the boys - Tim, Hutchinson, Baines. They\'re going to have a bit of conflict going on.

9: A Dreamer and a Fantasist

I'm really enjoying this series. I love the concept of Martha gradually, deliberately filling in backstory for John.

Author's Response: Thank you! It\'s been really fun exploring these two months during which John must have really lived and enjoyed his life, as well as learning about the time period. I\'m glad you like it so far!

6: Lessons in History

I hope you keep this up, because it is brilliant. It is perfectly in voice and in cannon, and an interesting look at all the little scenes that had to have happened in that story. I'm looking forward to more.

Author's Response: Thank you very much! I intend to - it\'s been very interesting exploring one set of characters and one circumstance more fully than I usually do, and like you said, there has to be a lot of history to this episode.
