Indescribably beautiful. It made me THINK and that doesn't often happen in fanfics. The part about the universe being finite frightened me and jolted me into thinking about existence, and then I realized we probably aren't even SUPPOSED to ever understand and that maybe that's the whole point of Doctor Who. What an accomplishment for a fanfiction.
Little bit teary, honestly. Be proud.

Re-read this one a second time... the first time I read this it was beautiful, but this second time around is when it really punches you in the gut and leave that aching feeling that is so profound and gorgeous that your eyes get a bit teary and you heart swells a bit bigger because it feels like you just can't contain everything inside this little human body of yours, because you are not the universe and you so wish you could be to fully understand the depth of it. But maybe, just maybe even with your small mind and your small body and your small heart, you can still appreciate the wonder.

This is wonderful. I love it. Also I now have the wonderful mental image of all of the last humans standing on a big rock, waving their fists at the sky and yelling, "YOU CAN'T DESTROY US! WE WILL SURVIVE FOREVER, PAST THE END OF THE UNIVERSE! WE DON'T CARE IF ALL THE STARS ARE GONE, WE'VE GOT FLASHLIGHTS!" So, thank you very much for that. I love this... them getting to know one another... them getting their own perspective of one another... it felt just as if it exactly fitted within the first series... I read it half an hour ago and it has rather haunted me...
