I thought this was brilliant. The characters really come to life, and I love the little nods to various aspects of continuity, like Ace's bike and the ending for her suggested in SJA. And the Ursine Order of Caring...! And you managed to make the evil giraffe genuinely creepy, which is a considerable achievement as far as I'm concerned. Excellent work. :)
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I\'m glad the giraffes came across as appropriately creepy and not, say, a desperate attempt to shoehorn in a prompt. ;) And heh, Ursine Order of Caring. That might have been my favorite part to write. :)
Marvellous, all of it. If this is what being a little bit insane results in, I think the world could stand a few more slightly insane people.
(Though, being the person I am, I can't help mentioning that I'm puzzled by "He told me about you." In the version of reality where Ace ended up with that bike, she met the Monk herself, and spent a considerable amount of time in his company.)
Also, I'm amused by the seventh Doctor being Myrddin Wyllt, because according to Wikipedia he was also known as Merlin Sylvestris.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! (And, er, okay, you caught me. I don\'t really know that much about post-TV Ace beyond \"has an awesome bike.\" Um... let\'s say it was the Time War! Messing with time! And things! That\'s what it is. Definitely not a mistake. ;) )
Oh, glory, the OCTOPUS. That's perfect. That's... exactly what that prompt wanted. *glee*
(Also, excellent story. *lol*)
Author's Response: Glad you think so! Thanks!
OMG. Hilarious and brilliant. And your evil alien giraffes are PERFECT! :D
Author's Response: Oh yay, I was worried I didn\'t make it obvious enough that those alien were supposed to be the giraffes! Heh.
As I may have mentioned elsewhere, you are amazing and so is this story. :-)
Author's Response: Thank you again!
