I've thought about that consent issue myself. In a way, Ianto was under duress.
Author's Response: Well, he put it on himself, but you can see why he transfered all his guilt and shame into hatred for Jack. In a way, Jack has to redeem himself, too -- because he never noticed. Thanks for the review.
Brutal and magnificent, and not helping in my quest to sleep tonight. Pretty sure this story and Ianto's anguish and Jack's anger over the consent issue will be featuring in my dreams. Love the story, btw. Painful but brilliant.
Author's Response: As I suffer from insomnia myself, I hope this will at least give you a chance to write! Brutal, yes -- and yes! Anguish! Love that word! Thanks for the review.
I agree that it's absolutely heartbreaking. And also so well written. I'm stunned, in a good way. Thanks you for sharing it with us.
Author's Response: Glad to stun you. Thanks for letting me know.
Wow, I never thought about it like this before. This was completely heartbreaking, it really hit me. Thanks for writing this!
Author's Response: Thanks for liking it! It\'s been a long time coming, this story. I\'m glad I finally finished it.
Very insightful point about Jack's "weak spot" being consent. Hadn't considered Ianto's betrayal in that light before.
Author's Response: Well, there was a lot of betrayal here, and part of it was that Jack had never given Ianto a reason -- any reason -- to trust him. Thanks for reading.
