This is so beautiful to think about. It also drew my mind to the rather bittersweet idea that, if/when the Doctor dies, he might join them, and the very upsetting question of what happens if the Tardis dies?

Author's Response: Thanks so much!

Beautiful. I love the succinct little descriptions of each character, you've portrayed them nicely.

Author's Response: Thank you so much.

Here from Calufrax. Wow. I know this was supposed to be sweet and sentimental, but I found the implications to be a bit dark and disturbing.

Very well done! :D

Author's Response: It\'s interesting that some people have that interpretation! Heh, apparently I just cannot turn off my disturbingness. Good thing I enjoy creeping people out! ;)

I started crying reading it (and I'm still crying). This is such a beautiful story.

So sweet and tender. This is really the ol' girl at her best! I love how she has a special place in her heart for all the Companions.

And really, if the Doctor could see what she saw...

Author's Response: Thank you! She really can be a sweetheart. :)

Hands down the best story I've read in weeks. I love how, in remembering them, she keeps them still there. Silly Doctor-if he'd only stop and listen to her!

Author's Response: Wow, thank you!

Here via Calufrax, and damn... this fic is so sweet and happy and so dark and sad AT THE SAME TIME! How did you do this in such a short piece? *marvels*

Author's Response: Thank you very much!

I'm going to go with the uplifting and hopeful interpretation. Nothing ends, damn it! This was beautiful.

Author's Response: This is basically my head canon for whenever Doctor Who depresses the hell out of me. ;) Screw you, show, everything\'s happy in my brain! Thanks!

Here via Calufrax, and I'm very glad of it! This is gorgeous - terribly sad, but wonderfully hopeful at the same time - and beautifully written. :)

Hello, I just wanted to say that I've recc-ed this story on Calufrax! I have a bit of trepidation about it though, because well, to me, yes on the surface this story is lovely and sweet and comforting, but I don't know if it's intentional (I think it is, given your other TARDIS stories, but am not exactly sure), the undercurrent to this story is rather dark and disturbing, the way a cat playing with a dead mouse is disturbing. The TARDIS so wants to help comfort her Doctor, but she can't understand linear time, she doesn't realize that it needs beginnings and endings. That the Doctor won't listen because he knows--he already knows they are there. I think it is subtle and brilliant.

Author's Response: Thanks for the rec! I do tend to think of this as my \"sweet TARDIS\" story (as opposed to Four Lies and a Truth being my \"dark TARDIS\" one), but your interpretation is certainly interesting!

My god, I don't know why I'm crying, I really don't. This was so very amazing and sweet and happy. So very happy. Completely brilliant, you are!

Author's Response: Thank you so much!
