Gorgeous. His inner schisms all shored up with lines nice and neat - the numbers hiding the disarray of his own thinking and hopes and dreams left behind while blazing a trail to the Unknown in the most beautiful thing he had ever seen inside a blue box.
He would never be happy in academia, anyhow.

Author's Response: Hee! I\'m glad you enjoyed it. This was one of my favorite stories to write.
Oh, beautiful. I loved the use of the math, mixed with a nice 11 characterization.
Author's Response: Thank you kindly!
Author's Response: Thanks! Pun intended?
He doesnít meet her eyes, instead watches the wind whip her hair into curves he canít quite parameterize.
Yes, more math and more fic and more fic with math metaphors. All are welcome. Thanks for this; I love the way it all came together to fixed points at the end.
Author's Response: :) Thank you. I appreciate the feedback and your kind compliments.
Oh, this is just beautiful. Usually when someone tries to do the "get into the Doctor's mathy-sciency head" thing like this, it comes across as sloppy or clumsy (that I've read), but not you -- this is both in-character and breathlessly new, and it helps us focus on the Doctor's emotions and narrative instead of distracting us. Bravo, really well done.
Author's Response: Thank you for the lovely compliment. I\'m glad it worked out! I was afraid it would come off a bit out of character.
The world needs more mathfic! Awesome and evocative; and a perfect peek into the way the Doctor's mind works.
Author's Response: Thank you! More mathfic, indeed! I\'m glad you liked it.
