Reviews For Don't Let Go

1: Chapter 1

I was going to read this.. and then I read the Author's Notes and my heart broke a little just from that, so I've been putting it off and off and off until now.
Beautiful, thank you so much for writing this. It's like a pearl - hurts a lot to make, but the end product is rare and uniquely beautiful.

Author's Response: Yeah, my heart broke too. If it helps at all, I\'ve married again and we\'re very happy, cherishing every moment of life. Happy endings don\'t have to fix all the problems that made the story sad to start with. That\'s the conclusion I had already come to when I wrote the story. I\'m glad you liked it. Thank you for telling me.

You actually made me cry. That doesn't happen, ever. Brilliant story- brilliant series, actually, but I'm too lazy right now to add a review for each story.

Author's Response: Heh heh. Thanks. It\'s not really a \"series\" as such, but just a personal catagory. Yeah. Ianto makes me cry, too.

You already know that this one had me in tears.

Distanced a little, I'd just like to say that I love it.

Still depressing as ever, but I think you're right. I think that, in the end, that's what Jack would do.

Author's Response: Thanks. Means a lot.

Excellent. Though I should tell you, your summary almost made me not read it. It seemed like an easy-fix (I don't read author's notes.) Just an FYI because I enjoyed your take on this, :).

Thanks for writing!

Author's Response: Yes, it does seem like such an easy fix. And yet, in so many ways it is not. Thank you.

Finally - maybe - you made me accept the unreasonable... and you broke a heart for Alonso (who I didn't liked first - until now)...

Useless to say, you had me cryin' too... though it's been a beatuiful and realistic read...

I'm so sorry for your loss... sometimes life's sooo cruel...

sending you a bunch of strenght for you and your little one!

Author's Response: Oh, Russel had this HUGE crush on Midshipman Frame. (Alonso.) Had to have something special about him, eh? Yeah, the unreasonable has to be accepted sometime. Thank you.

Love and loss and moving on are themes Jack must have to revist over and over again. A painful and loving decision was made in this fic, and I could really feel the emotions within.

I am so, so sorry for your loss.

Author's Response: Well, it was either stagnation or continuance, and Jack should have learned that lesson a long time ago with Owen. Thank you.

You have me crying. So sad, so beautiful and so right.

Author's Response: Every writer loves to hear they\'ve affected someone. Thank you.

That is beautiful and haunting and so very, deeply true.

Words feel hollow and trite and empty, but for what it's worth, I'm very sorry for your loss.

Kodiak

Author's Response: Words are all we have to go on, and what gives the universe any structure that makes sense. Thank you.
