Reviews For Facing Mortality

It was sad, yes, but not depressing, there's hope left there at the end. Death is something they have to deal with, yes, but like Rose pointed out there are much better ways of spending time than worrying about how much time you have left. :)

Author's Response: Absolutely right! Thank you!

That was sad but not depressing. It shows they have had a wonderful life together and realise that it can't last forever. Poor Jackie, losing Pete for a second time. At least she got to spend so much more time with him.

Author's Response: I\'m glad it wasn\'t depressing. Writing it helped me out of a black spot.

Despite the subject matter, this was a very romantic story.

Author's Response: Thank you.

It's not depressing. For people in a loving relationship, of whatever kind, its just a fact. Reminding ourselves of that occasionally helps make us appreciate the time we have--which Rose proceeded to prove in the time-honored fashion. Good for her. Good for you.

Author's Response: Thank you.

I like this. I much prefer Rose and the Human Doctor trying to settle into a human life, than trying to escape it, although I'm not certain about not letting the human develope his own personality. Poor Jackie, lost her husband twice. That's hard.

Author's Response: I\'m glad you like this. It\'s not an easy chapter in the ordinary human life. As for the Human Doctor having his own personality, I seem to recall seeing #7 pointedly avoiding a funeral with Ace there at the end of \"Destiny of the Daleks\", and a good part of this human Doctor was inspired by that. Of course, the two men have different experiences from the moment 10.5 appears. After perhaps 25 years of marriage, I would hope 10.5 is better at listening to Rose than anything we\'ve seen before, although perhaps this would be after many rough times. I absolutely love reading your reviews. Food for thought and spurs to listen to my muse more often.
