Pf. Special hell my arse. The only bad that could come from this is if someone locks you up and demands more..
Lovely little piece.
Author's Response: Thank you! I\'m glad you enjoyed it.
Special hell is definitely getting crowded - hey, move over over there! Share the bench!
My personal memory is actually of the Third Doctor under the console in a white T-shirt. Lot of people didn't like that pic for some weird reason - the writers of the Doctor Who Discontinuity Guide for one - but I was rather fond of it. Besides showing how nicely buff he was, you got a good look at the tattoo. I'm still not too sure what it is; a winged snake, perhaps? Whatever it is, it's now officially the symbol of a Gallifreyan criminal - it was mentioned in at least one of the Virgin Doctor Who novels as such at any rate...
Author's Response: You can see the tattoo pretty clearly in the \"Doctor out of shower\" pic here [http://www.shillpages.com/dw/story/d3/story-3a.shtml] and in #3 on Selected Story Images here [http://www.shillpages.com/dw/pertweej.shtml];it definitely appears to be a snake. According to Pertwee\'s entry in Wikipedia, he got it during his Navy days, discovering it on his arm when he woke up the morning after a rowdy night out in port. :D Thanks for reading -- glad you enjoyed it!

*goes to have a lie down*
Don't suppose there's room for one more in the Special Hell? This was excellent - you got the tone and the Brigadier's voice just right. And it's scorching hot, which doesn't hurt either. ;)
Author's Response: Thank you; I\'m glad you enjoyed it! The Brig has always been one of my favourite characters, and I had fun writing him; glad you find the voice on-key. :)
If this sort of thing is the ticket to the special hell, sign me up for a trip, please. Ruining one's own childhood has never been this fun.
Author's Response: Sometimes I think I\'m in fandom simply to traumatise my inner child. :) Thanks for reading, and I\'m glad you enjoyed it!
I remember that picture of Three, and I wholeheartedly agree! ^_^
Well written and plausible. Not something I would normally seek out, but so well done, I'm very glad I've read it. Those two did always seem to have something.... in any of the Doctor's incarnations. *giggle*
I very much like this. Well done!
Author's Response: Thank you! And yes, I recently re-watched \"The Five Doctors\" and found that the \"something\" is hard to miss. :)
Special hell sounds good to me! Thank you making that...erm...fascinating little story!
Author's Response: You\'re welcome - glad you liked it. ^_^
Excellent! Great tone and all that.
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed it - thanks!
So, er, where do I sign up for special hell? *fans self* I don't think I've ever been *quite* this hot and bothered by a fic before. Oh the mental images. BRING THEM ON!!! It probably helped that my beta has been sending me Three pic!spam (including the buff Silurian white t-shite kind) all week as story inspiration… but then you threw the Brig – the PERFECTLY realised Brig – in there, and a Gratuitous Shower Scene (and we all know how Three likes those *nods*) and the Jamie quip and……. Well, suffice to say, I now need a shower as well.
Thanks for sharing.
Author's Response: The Special Hell is getting crowded. ^_^ Thank you!
This . . . was . . . *ahem!* . . . which way to that Special Hell again? But what I loved best is how perfectly you captured the Brigadier's voice in the tone of the story. And the line about Jamie was priceless.
Author's Response: Thank you! Glad you thought the Brig\'s voice was on -- there\'s something about writing in stiff-upper-lip British military diction that\'s irresistible to me. ^_^
*stares*
*giggles*
I think I may love you.
*mems*
And I seriously need more Three/Brig now and it's entirely yor fault!
*sulks*
*re-reads*
Marvellous tone, excellent fic.
Thank you so much for posting it! :D
*is happy*
Author's Response: Thanks; glad you liked it! :D
