I absolutely loved this fic - you capture the character voices *so* well. The "it's like we live in bad scifi" legitimately made me laugh like a hyena. Thank you so much for it!
Hey, don't I recognize you from the Carnivale fandom?
This story is painfully adorable. It's so perfectly in character - I can just see it playing out. (Especially since in my own personal canon, Maria never left. Her schoolgirl crush on Sarah Jane = cutest thing ever.)
Author's Response: I am indeed in the Carnivale fandom. Ahhh, Justin and Iris. Good stuff.
And thanks!
Not even words can sum this up! All I can say is... brilliant ^L^
I swear one of my friends coming out was like this.
Adorable, well done.
Author's Response: I only wish mine had been. Thanks!
This was very cute. Sounds like something I might write - our styles are a bit similar. :)
Author's Response: You wish. Though I do have to give you credit for that one line. . .
Second time I've read this (it was recommended on calufrax), but I couldn't resist commenting again because the last line makes me giggle!snort in a most unseemly manner.
That said, the whole thing's sweet and amusing - I have a water melon sized grin now !
Author's Response: I\'m terribly pleased that everyone has enjoyed this. I\'d never written these characters before. The last line is probably my favorite too.
So, um, this really makes me want to watch SJA now. I have not a clue who these people are (aside from Sarah Jane, naturally), but this made me grin like a loon regardless.
Author's Response: Wow, then get thee to a tv, because SJA is brilliant. And thanks.
I still love this so very much, you know. Thank you so much for writing it!
Author's Response: And you are still very welcome. It was a really fun prompt to write.
This fic is absolutely adorable! The dynamic between the characters is fantastic and it is absolutely smile inducing. I recced it in the LJ comm Calufrax because this is just delicious and deserves heaps of love!
Author's Response: I\'m glad you liked it so much and thanks for the rec. I had no idea Calufrax existed .
Wow, first off, this is so sweet.
I love that, although you've aged up the characters by a few years, they're all still deliciously in-character--and I definitely got a strong sense of the connection between Luke and Sarah Jane, which was wonderful. Also, the fact that the Symposium was on Luke's reading list utterly cracked me up.
Author's Response: Whose research wouldn\'t start with the Symposium? ;)
