"The computerised voice snapped her out of her reverie with the almost painful realisation that she was going to agree. It was inevitable. For all her bravado in the face of alien menace, she knew the limitations of her strength, and this pushed it to breaking point."
Oh, Sarah Jane. So wistful and lonely. I like how you get the contrast between her strength in so many areas and her vulnerability when it comes to the people she loves.
That was really nicely done with spot-on characterisation. Loved it. (Sorry, it's taken me so long to read one of your stories - I forgot what your name was on here ) Lost Spook. :-)
Author's Response: Thank you, hun :)
Gah... it would put her back several steps, good thing she hasn't discovered Tombakersays.com then *grins*
That was pretty. And you did a good job with Mr. Smith. I agree - definitely more to him than meets the eye. And emails from the Brig? That's just sweet.
Author's Response: Hehe, oh most certainly. Otherwise she\'d never leave the house! Thank you, glad you enjoyed it :)
Yes, more, more!
Loved this: "Oh but to hear his voice again, speaking to her through the borders of time as though nothing had changed; it shouldn’t have made her pulse race the way it did.". Because it would.
Author's Response: Thank you :) That\'s one of my favourite lines too. Glad you like it.
Yay! I'm glad you posted this here so I could give you more lovin'. :) 'Cause this fic really deserves it. Yes, it does. I'll say again that I love the way you've given Mr. Smith dynamism--to the point you cause me to wonder if there's more to Mr. Smith than meets the eye. Is he really just a computer? I love the banter between Sarah & Mr. Smith on the show, and you've captured that brilliantly in this fic. The ending is well-done and twisty and hilarious. And I really hope you hunker down and write more soon. :D
Author's Response: Hehe, you can never have enough love! *huggs* Thanks hun. Mr Smith is an interesting character, bally hard to write for mind. There is certainly more to him than we\'re seeing in the show. Glad you like it.
I loved it the first time, I loved it the second time, and I'll keep on lovin' it! Oh, Sarah, so wistful... and oh, Mr. Smith, so much more than a mere computer, methinks? Thank you so much for this lovely piece of fic, and you really, really need to write more. :)
Author's Response: Aw, you\'re so sweet and very welcome *huggs* It was a great prompt! It certainly put them on my OTP list. Glad you like it.
