characterizations are great. Again, this is a rereading, but I love your fiction and you do very well with Master-Doctor. Can feel the angst, but the Master always puts himself first.
Just absolutely lovely. Very touching, very telling, and very sensual. I love it.
I almost felt sorry for the bastard. Nope, I'm past it. :) Lovely.
Incredibly hawt. He is obsessed, yes he is, and so full of jaded doom and gloom. And he would know how to win--that much makes perfect sense....
Oooh, this gave me shivers. (Mostly because I'm an absolute SUCKER for unconscious!Eight. Hee!) But I loved the structure of the Master's thoughts, and how at the end he wasn't enough of a romantic to drag the Doctor away (and neither was the Doctor, good show, you!) I like how that simple phrasing reveals Eight's true depth and strength, staying the course of war despite his own inclinations.
Can't wait for the next installment! If I'm correct, it should be "Taste, But Don't Swallow," if I remember Al Pacino's monologue correctly. (I hope you're referencing what I think you're referencing. ^_^) Brava! Keep up the stellar work! The world needs more Eight fic!
Author's Response: Thank you very much, and I really was refering to that monologue from (the great!) Pacino. Yepp, you\'ve already quoted the title of the last part.
That's brilliant. I love it.
This made me cry.
I love this little series.
*is now sobbing and is thus no longer coherent*
*looks at you hopefully*
Beautiful fic. :)
