I write because my head would explode if I didn\'t. All these lives lived, songs sung, hearts broken and mended...all these histories...all this lore. If I don\'t get it out of my head, it\'ll kill me even if I am the daughter of the bards of old.

Names are pretty, but useless. I go by G.K. Masterson, though. Don\'t ask what the G.K. stands for unless you want to hear \"whatever I need it to stand for.\" I\'ve been writing since I could hold a crayon and make my letters but I was making up stories even before that. Could I have talked at birth, I\'d have probably had a tale to tell then, according to my folks. I\'ve been reading since I was about three-and-a-half and I am voracious when it comes to that activity. My ex-husband used to have to drag me out of the bookstores before I spent my entire paycheck in one go. I\'ve currently written (and published) two novels: Twilight of Lanar\'ya and Stolen Lives. My third novel, Midnight of Lanar\'ya, will hit the eBook shelves on April 14th. In the meantime, I\'m working on a couple of projects I\'m calling The Penitent and Realpolitick while outlining the third book in the Fall of the Lanarian Empire series. I\'ve got a couple of other things on various burners for the nonce but nothing I\'m ready to discuss.

For fanfics, I\'ve written Alayne\'s Story which is set in the World of Warcraft universe and is available on my site (http://www.gkmasterson.com/). I have finished my first Doctor Who fanfic Adrift which explores a possible alternative-character path for Rose Tyler had the Doctor remained trapped in 18th century France. I have another few stories for this universe in mind as well but nothing firm at this present time.

I am a professional editor by trade. Yes, I\'m probably willing to beta-read and proofread/edit your work if asked nicely (send me a link and I\'ll get back to you) and if I don\'t have a million other things going on in my life. Universes I\'m familiar with include World of Warcraft, Doctor Who, Star Trek, Star Wars, Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, X, X2, Legend of Zelda, Magic Knights Rayearth, Lodoss, The Wheel of Time, The Mistborn, Tolkien, Ferelden, and most of human history considering that\'s what I took my degree in.

Oh, lastly...I am a complete and utter geek. Chances are you are, too, so I imagine we\'ll get along quite well.

Enough about me. I hope you enjoy my work and leave reviews. I\'m always looking for ways to improve my writing and don\'t mind harsh criticism as long as it\'s constructive.

What if the Doctor had not returned from 18th century France? What would have become of Rose and Mickey if they traveled on without him? How would that have affected Rose's personality? AU post-tGitF. Minor swearing.

Doctor Who and its accoutrements are the property of the BBC, and we obviously don't have any right to them. Any and all crossover characters belong to their respective creators. Alas no one makes any money from this site, and it's all done out of love for a cheap-looking sci-fi show. All fics are property of their individual authors.
