The Doctor's timeline merges with Sherlock Holmes. To the Doctor, the events occur in a week, but to Sherlock it's 26 years. Chapter 1 is set in 1986 when Sherlock is just a boy and witnesses a horrible and bizarre murder and has his first encounter with the Doctor. Chapter 2 is just days later for the Doctor, but is set in 2010 when Sherlock is an adult, but hasn't yet met Watson. After another bizarre murder, Sherlock goes to find the Doctor and together they ensure justice is served.
