1. In 2050, Donna gets her memory and her Time Lord knowledge back. In 2059, she telepathically summons the Doctor, and shows him the consequences of the memory-wipe not only for her but for her family. The story goes AU from the moment in "The End of Time" when the Doctor takes Wilf home and tells him that he is going "To get my reward." 2. The Doctor's actions in "The Waters of Mars" started something that, if not stopped, will destroy the universe. 3. Every generation has to die so the next generation can live. That is as true for the Doctor as it is for Adelaide Brooke.
