Like my students before, my workmates think I'm quite mad, and they may just be right, after all, how many science teachers write classic Doctor Who fic? I live up in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney where every whiff of smoke on the wind makes my worry about bush fire, but it's a risk one has to take if one wants to live in the bush. I love writing on my back deck, chocolate, Earl Grey tea, Kerry Greenwood and Jasper Fford's books, dreaming about my characters, classical music, travelling to strange and exotic places and seeing what is over the next hill.
