| "For the first nineteen years of my life, nothing happened. Nothing at all, not ever. And then I met a man called the Doctor." I'm a twenty one-year-old American girl, a nascent Doctor Who fan and a writer and reader at heart. I only recently got back into writing fanfiction, right around the same time I got into Doctor Who, and I've been so happy with how willing other fans have been to take the time to read and respond to my work! I was introduced to the Doctor on one of the worst days of my college life thus far (I was indeed nineteen!), and honestly wondered what was so special about him. After seeing the first half of Series 1 slightly out of order, I watched "The Unquiet Dead". They met Charles Dickens, Rose and the Doctor grabbed each other's hands in the face of imminent death, and I was completely and totally sold. "The Parting of the Ways" and "Doomsday" reduced me to a pile of jelly, and I've never looked back since! Most of my work will be Doctor/Rose and Amy/Rory. The Amy/Rory pieces will likely focus particularly on Rory, a character I dearly love and who I feel gets short shrift quite often. The smut pieces I do for Amy and Rory will often have sneaky bits of characterization, so it's not totally porn. ;) I also tend to deal with Rory's conflicted feelings about the Doctor; I was pleased as punch that "The Girl Who Waited" validated practically every piece I'd ever written! Almost all of my pieces can be read independently, but I do have fun sneaking in certain motifs (chips, Charles Dickens, the wonderous worlds of books and bookstores) throughout my pieces, so have fun spotting those!
