|I give my husband all the credit and blame for getting me into Doctor Who. I've always been a sci-fi fan, so I naturally love the adventures of the good Doctor. I was writing fan fic even before I knew what it was. Putting my love of sci-fi and fan fic together was a logical next step.|
I feel so honored to have my little stories featured here with so many talented writers. I'm not just blowin' smoke either, as we say here in America. I have been amazed at some of the things I've read here. It's always a great experience for me to read something truly moving, whether it's sad or comical.
Speaking of comical, humor seems to be my forte; I'm fond of the art of the spoof. I love to make people laugh, but I do write more dramatic material (usually infused with some humor.)
I am a human being and I love it when people feed my ego. If you like what you read, please tell me! If you hated it, please tell me why and I'll do my best to put your criticism to good use. I promise I wont send you nasty hate-mail, or egg your house, or kick your dog (the anger management really helped.) Just kidding.
I am a Ten fan. I love David Tennant's quirky, flawed, but lovable Doctor. I will miss him terribly, but I am excited to see where Matt Smith takes the character. (Please fan girls, stop killing my pets.)
As far as fan-fic goes, I'm honestly a bit tired of Ten/Rose. There, I said it. Now, that being said, I still read and write Ten/Rose fic.
Things I love besides the Doctor:
chocolate, coffee, chocolate and coffee, chocolate covered coffee, chocolate flavored coffee, chocolate coffee cake...you get the idea.
I also like to read (duh.) I love music, particularly singing. It's what I do, after all. I'm a music teacher.
I love pandas, Broadway musicals, symphonic classic rock, anything to do with Ireland, word puzzles, photography, and Italian food.
Jesus, Jane Austen, Josh Groban, Michael Crawford, Johnny Depp *sigh* and Edgar Allan Poe.
That's about it. Feel free to contact me via email. I would love to hear from you!
