| Hi! I'm 28 and live in Scotland (Hoots mon!) I was prompted to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard, rather) as I felt very cheated after the Series 4 finale, Journey's End. I felt the ending raised more questions than it answered, and I wasn't happy with the way things were left. My first story, 'Journey's Beginning' tries to resolve some of the 'grrrr' feeling I had at the end of the episode, and after dealing with the angst it also plunges the Doctor and Rose right back into another, new adventure. Journey's Beginning is the first in a series ('As The World Falls Down') set on 'Pete's World.' The alternate Earth is a dangerous place, still reeling from the collapse of Cybus Industries. People are fearful of technology, even airship use is declining, Torchwood has been designated a 'cyber-terrorist organisation' for their involvement in the Cybermen scandal and a dangerous and powerful new movement threatens the stability of the entire world. To sum up: the Doctor and Rose won't be getting a mortgage, they've got a world to save (not to mention the fact that, since the collapse of Cybus Property, no one can get a mortgage anyway!) As I'm new to this, I really appreciate honest, constructive feedback, so please do contact me if you have any suggestions on ways I can improve my stories. Thanks! | |
