The insanity all began with my BFF and her VHS copies of the old series lying around. Watching Hartnell episodes for two hours on end, no pause -- talk about trial by fire. But I loved it. Still love it. I mostly write my own Doctor and an OC companion (who I earnestly hope is not a Mary Sue, seeing as she's an ex-assassin and all around nasty piece of work). It gives me a little room to try different things. Plus I just don't think I could do justice to a canon Doctor. If you want to read stories by those who can, look at calapine, rosa_acicularis, and rallalon. Feedback is much loved!
