I got into the Doctor Who series a while back but refused to read or write fanfiction for it because I thought it was perfect the way it was (yay RTD! Doctor/Rose = OTP!).
And then came Doomsday and Journey's End.
Anything written here is my way of venting about that.

The Shortest Life
"He never intended to survive, but somehow she always saved him."
A story that looks at the development of Rose and the Doctor's relationship that we didn't get to see. Part coda, but mostly just an excuse for extra Doctor/Rose adventures and romance.

Author Update: 03/04/2014 - I would very much like to apologize for the long wait between chapters. Iíve been running around like crazy the past few months since finishing up uni to prepare for my upcoming move to the UK. Thatís right, ladies and gents, Iím headed to the Land of Who. Very exciting stuff, but also very busy, so thatís why I havenít had a chance to write very much in the way of new chapters. That being said, I have managed to tweak and rewrite the first bunch of chapters in this, and get this chapter up. Yay me. If I can manage to put more up before I head over, great, if not, wait til next month after Iíve settled in. As always, thanks for reading!

Doctor Who and its accoutrements are the property of the BBC, and we obviously don't have any right to them. Any and all crossover characters belong to their respective creators. Alas no one makes any money from this site, and it's all done out of love for a cheap-looking sci-fi show. All fics are property of their individual authors. Archival at this site should not be taken to constitute automatic archive rights elsewhere, and authors should be contacted individually to arrange further archiving. Despite occasional claims otherwise, The Blessed St Lalla Ward is not officially recognised by the Catholic Church. Yet.
