| I remember the 4th Doctor from when I was a kid but didn’t start watching the show until recently. I randomly saw “The Angels Take Manhattan” as my first DW episode (talk about spoilers, Sweetie…). Intrigued, I started watching the new series from the first episode and quickly fell in love with Christopher Eccleston’s Doctor, his adventures, and Rose. I didn’t know any of the Doctor’s history and I can honestly say I was as shocked and upset as Rose when 9 regenerated. Like Rose, I adjusted to his next regeneration, and loved David Tennant’s Doctor too. I was sorry to see the end of the David Tennant/RTD era. It took me longer to love Matt Smith, but in the end, I have to say that I love the Doctor, not just the actors playing him. In the span of a few months, I have become a little obsessed (is that an oxymoron?) about the Doctor Who Universe. As Rose said, It’s about a better way of living your life. |
