Update May 08:
Well, my LJ and my Marathon have done some good! :D
It was my hope that writing reviews of my reading would help me brush up on my writing as well as consolidate some ideas that have been running around in my head.
Three stories in and it has already helped! I have completed my first FanFic in about six years. ^_^
While this is a feat for me, I cannot make any guarantees as to the quality of my writing. Hopefully you will enjoy it.
If not, please be kind. Creative criticism is always welcome, but flames will be ignored.
Update Mar 08:
Guess what - I have a LiveJournal page now! :D
It's a Blog of my Doctor Who Marathon. I know it's been done, and probably better, but I feel the need to spread the insanity! :D
Reviews of all the stories in the order I'm reading them.
Come visit me at The Blog of Rassilon. Leave comments and start book discussions. Fulfill your inner geek.
Hope to see you there! ^_^

Hmmm... What to say about me...
I'm not very interesting, really.
I grew up with the Tom Baker series of Doctor Who but eventually became kind of disenchanted with the show sometime in the mid Eighties. I still watched the occasional Ep. or read the occasional book, but it just wasn't the same.
I am another of the many who have been drawn back into the world of DW after becoming addicted to the new series. It has reminded me of what I once loved so much about the show and I have found myself digging out dusty old tapes and books.
About 2 years ago I started out on a project to catch up on everything that I have missed since the late 1980's. I am reading every Novelised Episode (cheaper than DVD's, and almost all have been novelised) Novel, Short Story and Audio, (Geek moment in 3, 2, 1...) in loose timeline order, beginning with Tom Baker's first episode "Robot".
Why not start out at the very beginning with William Hartnell? Too many reasons to list here, but is you want them anyway, go to my LJ where I've listed them. I do hope to eventually get to him, Troughton and Pertwee.
What I hope to acheive by all this, besides complete insanity, I have no idea. But, if you ever find the need for someone with an absurd amount of fresh and useless Doctor Who trivia floating about in their heads, I might just be your girl! |
