All references to Sarah and the Osirans are from a vague memory of The Glass Pyramids of Mars, but I think I got most of the details right.
Sorry about the description of Time Lord head-dresses. If there is an actual name for them, I would be very grateful to the person who enlightens me.

Jack decides to step in and give Rose and the Doctor’s relationship a little help, and they still have to figure out how to stop the Earth being blow to smithereens by the Osirans. This chapter is for Cryptile, who called the Osirans at least a chapter before I thought anyone would. If I ever meet you, Crypty, I owe you a coffee! (And yes, that’s a big deal. If you knew me, you’d know I don’t give away coffee lightly! :)

19. Beat that, Reinette! by Emery Board [Reviews - 8] (2123 words)
My version of Girl in the Fireplace, I suppose. Not that I hate that *cough obscures word that would have put story rating up into ‘M’* Reinette. I’m not bitter, no not at all. Just because the Doctor goes around kissing French courtesans, why should I care? It’s not like he doesn’t already have a sexy blonde on board the TARDIS, who has done everything except drop an aphrodisiac into his tea!
Oh, wait. HE DOES!!!
But I’m still not bitter. *stops at loud laughter from readers*
Okay, maybe just a little. This is for Ad, who got the answer first. Sorry it took so long!
20. The Calling by Emery Board [Reviews - 5] (1501 words)
21. Counsellor Troi by Emery Board [Reviews - 7] (1664 words)
Very vague Trekkie reference in the title and story, carrying on a couple of throw-away lines a couple of chapter previously, just ‘cos I can. Rose stays put like she was told to (or not. . .) and the Doctor is sensible and doesn’t take any stupid risk (or maybe not . . . :)
