1. Part One: Despair by GM_Andy [Reviews - 4] (6046 words)
This is rather a random plot bunny that would just not leave me alone. I've decided it's time to begin posting my more adult and graphic version of this story here.

The Doctor, newly tossed into his 9th incarnation and reeling from the effects of the Time War, stumbles into a situation he cannot ignore when the TARDIS lands him inside a ship that is clearly in trouble.


It’s 2517, Humanity is in space, and expanding outward in fits and starts. Not everyone fleeing Earth-that-was went to the same system. Let us just imagine then that the Sino-Anglo Colony, Blue Sun, exists on the opposite side of the galactic arm from the rest of civilized space. Contact between the two major political blocks is limited and passage from one side to the other is handled by long term sleeper ships – Ghost Runs. One company specializing in these sort of risky runs typically handles these.

Port of Departure: Eavesdown Docks, Persephone. Mixed Sino-Anglo culture. Port of Call: Tangiers-5. Darkside. Mixed Islamic-Anglo culture. Crew complement: Four. Passengers: Forty plus.

So what happens when a passenger by the name of Dr. Simon Tam and his cargo get on the wrong ship? There’s a Bounty Hunter aboard, but not one after him…

2. Part Two: Chaos by GM_Andy [Reviews - 1] (4319 words)
I have swapped scenes from Chapter 2 and 3 (as posted over at FF.net) in this as an effort to make it less confusing. I have also made this (hopefully) all past tense. To read how I originally intended (which switches tenses I suppose too much, but seems to give a sense of the chaotic nature of crashing) check out my live-journal version.

3. Part Three: Alien by GM_Andy [Reviews - 1] (6302 words)
This chapter features scenes swapped with chapter 2 (as posted on FF.net). I've added quite a bit to this, detailing the Doctor's experience as he rides out the crash and then discovers who it is that the TARDIS wants him to find. But there's still a lot more going on here than our newly regenerated Doctor realizes...

4. Part Four: Lost by GM_Andy [Reviews - 1] (6572 words)
Um... Chinese. The Firefly elements merged into this story brings with it *mangled* Chinese (Some is my fault, some is the fault of the original show). My references come from the absolutely necessary reference site for Firefly Chinese: Firefly-Serenity Chinese Pinyinary and several other web based translation and dictionary sites.
I've tried to provide some idea of what the Chinese means in the text of the story. If someone asks for more specific translations I'll provide them.

5. Part Five: Distress by GM_Andy [Reviews - 1] (6322 words)
Appearance by Doctor 7 here. Takes place after Lungbarrow, but before the TV movie. I figured that Leela would prefer him to stay until after the birth, and this scene occurs before he finally leaves to sort the issue with the Master...

6. Part Six: Blue by GM_Andy [Reviews - 0] (6459 words)
'Pain' as she appears here does not fully follow Doctor Who appearances. Instead I'm using the character of Shirah from Chronicles of Riddick as a basis for her appearance. For folks that have no idea who I'm talking about she's the blond chick heading this chapter...

7. Part Seven: Fire by GM_Andy [Reviews - 1] (6094 words)
Well... Looks like the forces are in play here. Do I have everyone's attention yet?
I don't own anything. Simon and River belong to Firefly. The Doctor belongs to the BBC. And the rest of it belongs to Pitch Black. All I own is the demented mind that squished this together....

Another chapter. I still don't own a thing. The various parties are starting to come together now. Slashy elements will start really coming out more strongly. Nothing graphic (just lots of tension here).

This chapter has the meeting between con and Time Lord from Riddick's perspective. And I'm sorry to say that I leave it hanging at that point. There are other plot lines that I cover, also, some about Jack that hint at him being more than just a random kid, some about Fry... It's one of my favourite chapters.

I blame the -need- to put 9 in chains on the episode "Dalek". Honestly... (9, no shirt, in chains... Um, I'm gonna go watch that again...) ;-) PS. The last scene of chapter 11 has become the first scene of chapter 12. And the last scene of 12 moved to 13... I needed Doctor/Riddick space. *snickers*

First major departure from the Pitch Black plotline here. In the movie it's Fry that ventures into the burrow. Here, well... Someone dies.

I apologize in advance for the actions of certain characters in this chapters. There's some disturbing stuff in there, and one reason I figure this is an adult story.
This chapter has hints of child abuse, although not graphic, there all the same. Also there's some sexual self-release. Yep, it's slashy. Just to warn you...

This chapter has the word "crap" in about 6 languages... Haha.
Also the Doctor tosses back some Russian at Johns after the marshal calls him a bad word. References for these insults comes from http://www.insultmonger.com (because it's a cool site if you need something creative).
I've been accused of the story becoming "slow" at this point, although I don't know why really. The situation was bad, it takes a turn for the worse here and in the following chapters something will happen to force them all to make a run through the dark. I'll try to keep it exciting.

The picture here is from Pitch Black although it's been tweaked a lot (the original has goggles on his forehead and is not as colourful).
I still lack ownership of this and am just playing with the characters so don't bother to sue me.

Just a warning here: This chapter has some fairly graphic mention of injuries caused by abuse of a minor (actual events are not depicted, just the results). This is Adult for a reason.
Being a victim of similar events in my life this chapter was hard to write but sometimes these things act as therapy.
