He’s falling away so quickly; the years fleeting before her eyes and she’s unable to move to stop them flying so fast....

It was so bright, the sun nearly blinding her as she opened her eyes reluctantly. Stretching slowly, letting the blood flow through every extension of her body, she breathed deeply the scent of a new day. The soft sheets pressed against the flesh of her back and gracefully smoothed over her curves. A sleepy smile spread across her lips as a large comforting hand ran through her blonde hair; the owner gently placed a kiss to her darkened roots.
The warmth from that one single gesture spread through her entire body and she sighed as the kisses continued lower, past her temple, down her cheek and across her jaw. He spared no detail in his attentions to her skin; his hands accentuated the feeling of his lips as they gently rubbed her hips. The touch of his finger tips dropped steadily lower in unison with his tongue. Heated breath tickled her skin as she moaned quietly, her body shifting closer to the body beside her. The other body was just as heated as hers, despite the fleeting expectation that it would be slightly cooler. Slick, wet heat caressed her neck, tongue darting out to swirl in the impression of her clavicle. God, he was good with that tongue.
She adored days like this. Their infant daughter was spending the weekend at her mum and dad’s and they had both called in to Torchwood to not be disturbed. Forty-eight hours without aliens or a screaming baby. She loved bother her job and her little girl, but she liked having these little breaks every now and then. She couldn’t think of anything better than just laying here with him, in their bed, not a care in the universe. Just her and the man she loved.
The sheets shift and so does she as he pulls her body to his, naked skin flushed against naked skin. Her arms encircle his neck to grant him better access to trail that exquisite tongue down to the valley between her softly rounded breasts. His temporary indecision of left or right was settled when one pert nipple was sucked into the expert grip of the man’s mouth; his teeth grazed the tender flesh as her nails dug into his back. A gentle nip at her skin and her hips involuntarily buck upwards, crashing into those of the man above her. He laughed again and she can’t help laughing along. Her arms grip ever more tightly around her lover’s neck as one of his hands carefully tucks the stray strands of hair behind her ear. His free hand trailed between her legs, gently flicking that oh so sought after spot at the apex of her sopping heat causing an eruption of giggles. Her reaction seemed to please him and he rewarded her by vigorously stroking her clit again against his thumb, eliciting gasps from her throat.
She loved him so much. She really did. Her thoughts used to slip back, back to so long before, but not so much any more. She would start to think back, but then she would wake up. She couldn’t control her dreams. But even now, dreams seemed to be real. Feeling the love of the man that had promised to love her forever, for better and for worse; could she really ever ask for more?
The loss of his mouth on her breast made her sigh in frustration even though he continued the wonders of his fingers between her thighs, but then he looked at her and nothing else in the world existed. He had beautiful eyes, always has done. The chocolate brown gleamed with love and promise and desire; expressing the same and more than the diamond that shined in the sunlight on her left hand ever could do. The promise of forever burned deep inside of his loving gaze, still making her blush despite their intimate position. In his arms right now, she knew he would never leave her. Never.
Then his lips were on hers. The power of his kiss consumed her breath, her very soul pulled out of her being as he claimed what was and would always be his. She deepened the kiss in return, her fingers now coming to run through his thick hair still messed up from the activities of the night before. He had great hair, absolutely fantastic. Her mind slipping ever slightly, remembering when it hadn’t been so wild, but when it was cropped short; but that wasn’t him and those thoughts soon faded.
The sun stained the curtains with golden light. The sight made him look even more like an angel, her angel. The perfect love they shared could never end. Reality began to slip from her as he lowered his full weight on to her body. His heart beat reverberated into her own chest. A small groan escaped her lips as he broke their kiss and at the same time halting the exquisite torture of his fingers, his attentions turning to her ear. His body came to properly rest on hers in the perfect position of what was sure to come.
“I love you,” he whispered softly, letting the words caress her, every syllable trickle through the soft morning haze. He loved her and it would be forever.
...everything must come to dust....
A sob or a moan escaped her lips as he thrust into her. The rhythm of their bodies beat to a drum only known to them; the ticking of a clock, measuring, beating, time passing around them.
...Everything dies...
They were coming; faster, harder. The clock ticking as she felt the seconds, all of those precious moments, slip through her grip.
...How can I let go of this...?
And then he’s leaving her. He’s falling away so quickly; the years fleeting before her eyes and she’s unable to move to stop them flying so fast.... He promised he’d never leave her; never. He promised forever. This time was supposed to be forever. He promised their love was forever. But he’s still leaving... He’s dying and there’s nothing more she wants than to die too.
...the sun and the moon... the day and night...
The sun and moon rose and fell to the same constant movements of their bodies. Closer and closer they rose to the climax. His cock plunging in and out of her incessantly; their sweat staining the sheets. Her blood and tears staining time. Harder. Faster. Quicker. Closer. He was escaping her. She couldn’t stop him. He was getting so far away, ever changing while she stayed the same. It wasn’t fair. He wasn’t supposed to leave her behind. Not this time. This time was forever. He promised.
...But why do they hurt...?
But he said he loved her.
...I can see everything...
Her body began to shake and she could feel her muscles begin to contract around him and his thrusts drove into her more rapidly with ever stroke. Harder. Faster. The seconds ticked by. She held to him desperately, his hands on the headboard supporting the increasingly inconsistent movements of his hips. Ever nearer; ever closer....
,i>...all that is...
The friction was becoming unbearable as she sat on the edge of the breaking point. Everything began to crash down around her as the tremors increased. Lights flashed before her eyes as she screamed out his name.
...all that was...
They were tumbling into oblivion, just barely grasping to each other. Her body continued to shake as she felt him begin to cum inside her. He was moaning, her name rolling off his lips as he erratically thrust into her with his excruciatingly hard and swollen penis, causing her body to respond yet again completely shattering all that was...
...all that ever could be...
“Rose...”
He called her name, seconds from exploding inside her. He’s desperate for release as he calls for her.
“Rose...”
So close... so close... But why was he so far? Why couldn’t she hold him? He was leaving her again and she couldn’t stop him. A bright light consumed her vision as she attempted to shut her eyes against it, her head pounding harder in time with his body. The sensation was blinding.
“Rose... Rose!”
Her breath caught in her throat as she screamed out with him yet again; her body propelling itself forward. She fell back trembling, but no one’s embrace came to hold her. Her face was wet with tears she couldn’t remember crying and her body shook harder. Her eyes opened slowly, bright lights assaulted her blurry vision and hard metal pressed into her back. Her breath was ragged as she attempted in vain to catch it.
Someone was over her, a face just above her own; hovering just out of reach. Brown eyes and dark hair focused through the tears as the blinding light faded into the background.
“Rose?” His voice still beckoned her. It wasn’t fair....
No... No, this wasn’t fair.... Never. No, this could never be.
“My head... it’s killing me.”
