She stands on the beach staring off into the horizon. In so many ways this beach has come to represent goodbye in her mind. Now it's time to say goodbye here again. Goodbye to the life she never chose. Goodbye to the beach that both broke her and held her together.
Warm, strong arms encircle her from behind. She sighs and leans back into the shelter of his embrace. Soft kisses trail from the top of her head to her cheek and down the side of her neck. His breath is warm and it tickles her ear when he asks if she is ready. She takes one more look at the horizon and says goodbye to merely existing. She turns to face him, her own smile mirroring his joyous expression. They join hands and race back to the TARDIS; embracing the chance to be whole again.
She stands on the beach staring off into the horizon. In so many ways this beach has come to represent goodbye in her mind. Now it's time to say goodbye here again. Goodbye to her Rose and goodbye to her grandchild.
She studies the photograph in her hand. The Rose in this picture is someone she thought she'd never have the opportunity to see again. Happiness and life radiate from her joyous eyes.
Jackie pulls her gaze from the photograph and looks back towards the cottage. Pete is headed in her direction, one arm full of the baby and the other hand is holding the hand of their oldest child. She wipes away the tears that have somehow fallen down her cheeks and turns to smile at him. They join hands and walk back towards the cottage; embracing the second chance fate has given all of them.
