You've drawn me in - this is really interesting. Thanks!

Author's Response: I\'m glad the story drew you in, and I thank you for your kind words.

This is very well done, and I love the take off from "Parting of the Ways"...I've got my own AU/spec thing sitting on the back burner until I've finished my piece for the time_and_chips ficathon *and* "Rescue Me"

This is a lovely piece. I can't wait for you to post more :)

Author's Response: Thanks - I\'ve enjoyed your work, and am delighted that I can perhaps entertain you. I\'m thrashing through the necessary first fruitless 3rd chapter attempts now, and hope the thrashing becomes more fruitful.

"Next stop, the stars." Jack's one-liners are just priceless! You've done a great job setting up the tension and desolate atmosphere. One can see why the Doctor doesn't like hanging around to pick up the pieces. Yeugh! What a mess! Good job with Roderick, too. Interesting corner they seem to be backed into: no shuttles, no transmat, no help from Earth! Wonder how they're going to get the colonies. Very intriguing. I'm going to be watching this fic!

Author's Response: Thanks so much. Jack *does* seem like a one-liner kind of guy, doesn\'t he? Thank god there\'s more to the man. Now it\'s up to me to figure out how to maneuver them someplace slightly less desolate. And maybe less tense.
