I haven't read any Jane Austen books yet (sadly), but I really enjoyed this. Love the Ian/Barbara shippery, and everyone feels so in-character. :)

Author's Response: Thank you so much! (Ian/Barbara shippery is one of my favorite things, as if that wasn't pretty obvious...) Definitely give Jane Austen a try sometime- 'Persuasion' is one of my favorite novels- in fact, imagining Jackie Hill & William Russell playing the leads in it is what first inspired this fic, heehee.

Barbara is a favorite of mine. It was delightful to see her translated to a different time period yet retain her essential character.

Author's Response: Thank you! Barbara is my favorite too- she would always be awesome in any time period. :)

I really like this. It's a perfect Jane Austen style and I like how you've fitted them into a Jane Austen sort of story.

Author's Response: Thanks very much, that's nice to hear. :)

Aw, this is an excellent AU for them. I love the way you've got the style but retained everybody's characters so well in context. Lovely work!

Author's Response: Thank you! This TARDIS team just fit in very well with Jane Austen's character types: the naive younger sister; the cranky fatherly character; the lovers with a subtle yet intense attraction beneath a polite exterior- it basically wrote itself in my head in between reading chapters of a Jane Austen novel. :)

Oh, this is outstanding! You captured Jane's style so well--and that isn't easy. You also did an excellent job with all the characters, and Ian and Barbara's relationship. Thank you for writing this!

Author's Response: You're so welcome! Thank you so much for your kind comments. :)

Ooh, I love this! Very well written. I saw you put it as completed, I hope you'll reconsider and write some more chapters :)

Author's Response: So glad you enjoyed it. I don't have any ideas about where else to go with it at this point, but maybe in the future something might occur to me- we'll see!

Aww lovely! A really clever AU of An Unearthly Child and mmm imagine William Russell in period dress! The story worked really well, especially like the Ian/Barbara romance. If you do decide to continue this in the future, it would be very interesting to see where it goes but if you don't this is awesome enough...great job!

Author's Response: Aw, thanks! It was great fun to explore Ian & Barbara's obvious feelings for each other in an outright romantic context, and to imagine everyone in Regency clothes as well!
