Firstly, this is a fantastic snapshot. There are such an overwhelming number of "NewWho" stories on this archive that it's always such a relief to find a well-written Classic Who fic. I think that overall your Seven and Ace were insightfully characterised, however, once or twice I found Seven a bit too ... nice? Lol, I'm not sure. Often he's the one griping, even if it's only at Ace. I think I needed a little of that to balance out the sweetness at the end.

Kudos for a great read.

Lovely phrases and imagery. Good job with Seven's characterization.

Great job capturing Seven and Ace. I especially loved: "How does a Time Lord keep time."

What a perfect answer to his question!

Author's Response: Thank you, glad you enjoyed!

You already know how much I adored this story, but let me just reiterate: WOW. You got their voices down perfectly, which is always the first hurdle to clear, and as always, your powers of description blow me away: "...the Doctor's eyes were holding memories: tea with Charles Darwin, sailboats frozen to lakes, and trees that grew lanterns..." Guhhh... The chatter about the jazz and big band performers was delightful, and the last section, of course, is just perfection. *hugs you* Brilliant.

Author's Response: Well, thank you immensely. I feel like I've them firmly in my head now, which is a relief. And I'm glad you liked the bit about the jazz performers; I wasn't expecting to throw that in there, but it seemed to fit rather well. *hugs* Thanks again. :D
